Government-Enterprise Collaboration Builds a Strong Line of Defense for Work Safety
To enhance the company's fire emergency response capabilities, on June 16, 2025, Hebei Lantian Muffler Co., Ltd. organized a comprehensive fire emergency drill involving all employees. A trainer from the local fire brigade provided on-site guidance, covering the entire process from theoretical training, practical simulations to joint rescue operations, effectively testing the practicality of the company's emergency response plan.
The drill had clear objectives: first, to test the effectiveness of the company'sFire Emergency Response Planand optimize the emergency response process; second, to enable employees to master practical skills in fire early warning, fire-fighting, evacuation, and casualty rescue; third, to enhance the coordination efficiency of various emergency response teams, aiming to complete the evacuation of all employees within 5 minutes from the alarm. All employees of Lantian participated in the drill. A command headquarters was established, with the general manager as the chief commander, and the safety director and administrative director as deputy commanders. Five sub-teams were set up:
The Command Team, led by Zhu Haitao, was responsible for overall management and coordination with external rescue forces;
The Rescue Team, composed of 10 members led by Huang Fenyou, was tasked with fire suppression and controlling the spread of fire;
The Evacuation Team, with 8 members led by Li Duanduan, guided employees in evacuation and conducted headcounts;
The Medical Team, with 3 members led by Yang Baoshu, simulated first aid for the injured;
The Logistics Team, with 5 members led by Lu Jianying, prepared materials, set up cordon areas, and recorded the drill process.
At 9:30 a.m., the Logistics Team inspected fire-fighting facilities such as fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, emergency lights, and evacuation signs; the Command Team convened a pre-drill meeting, emphasizing the importance of taking the drill seriously and clarifying the evacuation route from the east exit of the warehouse to the parking lot assembly point; the Rescue Team used a smoke generator and a flameless fuel barrel to simulate a fire caused by an electrical short circuit on the east side of the warehouse.
At 10:00 a.m., the warehouse manager discovered the "fire," pressed the manual alarm button, and reported the situation. The Command Team activated the emergency plan and announced the evacuation to all employees via the public address system. The Rescue Team rushed to the scene with fire extinguishers and hoses for fire suppression and cooling; the Evacuation Team used megaphones to guide employees to cover their mouths and noses with wet towels, bend down, and evacuate along the walls. After reaching the assembly point, they found that one "injured person" was still in the warehouse. The Medical Team immediately conducted first aid, including checking the victim's breathing, performing CPR, and simulating a call to 120. The entire evacuation of all employees was completed in 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
Drill Summary
After the drill, the fire brigade trainer pointed out issues such as employees' unfamiliarity with fire extinguisher operation and congestion during evacuation. The teams jointly identified five problems, including insufficient pressure in some fire extinguishers and blocked evacuation signs, which the Logistics Team rectified on the same day. Safety management personnel demonstrated the correct use of fire extinguishers and fire escape techniques and reiterated the core emergency response procedures.
